Booze, Bar, and Kicks – three things I miss during the pandemic

What do you miss the most these days?

This pandemic made me realized that with the kind of sacrifices we did so far, we, guys are actually tougher than we thought. We did away with the boy’s night outs, the weekend drives, and even skipped our little vanity with our trusted barbers. For others it may not amount to much, but for us men, those things we do define who we are. Here are three things that tops my list.

1.  Hanging out at your favorite place (BAR)

A manic day of workload deserves to be eased with a quick escape to unwind. Ask any guy. He has his go-to place to do just that. Be it a resto, a bar, or a Gastropub, which is the best of both worlds, we are certainly longing to go back to our favorite hideout.

2. Ice-cold beer in my hand (BOOZE)

It is a staple for drinking guys, we all enjoy that bottle served cold. Whether alone or with a bunch, good memories are built when there’s booze on the table. My reward to cap the day will always be that premium beer in an iconic green bottle - a Heineken! Sadly, quarantine protocols have restricted booze for some time.

3. Dapper with my shoes (Kicks)

Working from home has its wealth of rewards. For one, this is the rare part of history where we get to fulfill work obligations while on a pair of boxers and Birkenstock.
